Ford Fiesta ECOnectic

The Fiesta ECOnetic emits 98g CO2 per kilometer (equivalent to 76.3mpg), making it the most fuel efficient five-seater family car in the UK. With CO2 emissions at under 100g/km, it is zero rated for road tax (Vehicle Excise Duty).

At the end of 2008, Ford was named "Greenest Manufacturer of the Year" by Green-Car-Guide.com.

Michelin Energy Saver

Michelin logoThe Energy Saver tyre, the company's fourth generation of 'green' car tyre, incorporates new technology which provides lower rolling resistance, generating fuel savings and reductions in CO2.

In terms of reduced fuel consumption, this saving equates to one free tyre in four over the lifetime of tyres.

targetneutral

targetneutral is a non-profit carbon offset initiative funded by BP. It helps people minimise the carbon impact of their travel by encouraging behaviour change, whilst maintaining mobility.

An average motorist in the UK emits around four tonnes of CO2 per year, which costs about £20 to offset through targetneutral on a non-profit basis.

Developed with NGOs, targetneutral is overseen by an independent advisory panel, which is chaired by Jonathon Porritt and includes leading environmentalists. The initiative helps funds projects such as wind farms.
